 The Oregon Garden| Orchid Ballroom | 895 W. Main Street, SILVERTON   An education and networking event for farm direct marketers and other agritourism operators. Designed for all sizes and types of farms, woodlands, nurseries, wineries, food processors and botanical gardens. The Summit will feature training in Farm Direct Marketing and Other Agritourism practices. Sessions: l Trends & Markets l Safety & Liability for Farm Visits l Land Use Laws and Regulations l Models of Success l Effective Marketing Speakers represent: UVM and OSU Extension Services, Polk and Marion County Community Planning Divisions, and Travel Salem. Lodging special rate: Room night rate of $89 +tax for Feb. 27 and 28. Deadline to receive this price is January 27.      Dr. Lisa Chase, University of Vermont Extension is keynote speaker and author of Food, Farms and Community: Exploring Food Systems. $18 per person and includes catered lunch. Paid garden admission is not required to attend. Summit attendees will receive discounted garden admission after the event if they wish a self-guided tour.
