Center for Latino/Latina Studies & Engagement (CL@SE)

The Center for Latino/Latina Studies & Engagement (CL@SE) promotes engaged research and outreach devoted to advancing knowledge and understanding of Latino contributions and the issues surrounding this population in our state, region and beyond.

CL@SE's overall goals are:

  1. To promote excellence in engaged research, teaching, and outreach in Latino@ Studies.
  2. To establish an action-based agenda which will promote the economic, political, physical, and educational well-being and development of the Latino community in Oregon.
  3. To serve as a model for enhancing university’s capabilities in similar target research and engagement efforts.

The Center is collaboratively supported by the Division of University Outreach and Engagement, the Research Office, the Provost's Office and several other units on campus, especially the colleges of liberal arts and science and education.
