Directions

From Portland International Airport (PDX)

Take I-205 (south) from the Portland Airport for approx. 24 miles then merge onto I-5 (south) and continue for another 60 miles.

From I-5, take exit 228 (OR-34, Lebanon/Corvallis) and turn right (west) onto Highway 34. Continue for approx. 10 miles as this will take you directly into Corvallis. As you cross the Willamette River Bridge, Highway 34 becomes Harrison Blvd (a one-way); merge into the left lane and continue. Turn left on 14th Street and continue 3 blocks to the intersection at Monroe Ave. As you continue through the intersection, Kearney Hall (3-story grey stone) will be on your immediate right and the entrance to parking will be on your immediate left. Here is a map.

Airport Shuttle

From the Portland Airport (PDX):

  • Hut Airport Shuttle - 541-926-2525 ($48 one way; $85 roundtrip PDX » Corvallis Hilton Garden Inn as of Nov 2012)

Hut Shuttle pick up at the airport is located just outside the baggage claim (see attached PDF). As you exit the airport from baggage claim, walk toward the parking garage and continue to the center median (the island between the 3rd and 4th vehicle lanes). Then, continue to the far side of the white information booth (located to your left) on the center island and await shuttle pick up. There is no specific "Hut Shuttle" sign, so if you are unsure where to wait, please ask the attendant in the information booth.

The shuttle pick up schedule and reservations are available on their website. It is recommended that you reserve your seat on the shuttle ahead of time, but you can also purchase it from the driver when you board, provided room is available.

Regardless where you are lodging, you'll want to get off the shuttle at the Hilton Garden Inn (Corvallis), as it's one of the recommended hotels to stay and is also located across the street from the ILLC building here on campus. If you are staying at an alternate location, the shuttle driver can call ahead to request a taxi be waiting when you arrive.

The Hut Shuttle service is a locally family owned business and their drivers are very courteous and accommodating.

From the Eugene Airport (EUG):

  • OmniShuttle - 541-461-7959 or 800-741-5097 (approx. $65 Eug-Corv one way as of Nov 2012)

Parking

A campus map complete with parking information is available on the Web (click “PARKING” at the top of the screen for details).

Unless you have an OSU issued parking permit, you will need to follow the guidelines for 'visitor parking'. Daily visitor parking permits ($7/day) are available to purchase 'online' or from 'Pay and Display' stations located in designated parking lots (green $ as shown on the campus map). These permits allow you to park in any “Student/Visitor” lot (marked in green on map). Please do not park in “Staff” lots (marked in red on map) or timed spaces—you will be ticketed! Permits are required in all OSU parking lots, except for government vehicles bearing e-plates. Alternatively, parking off campus is also available.

Note: during the week of Jun 17-22, while parking on campus is free and there is no need to purchase a daily parking permit, as a student/visitor you still need to park in the 'student/visitor' (green) parking areas to avoid being ticketed.
