Most forest management plans start out with some background information about the landowner and the property, to set the context for the rest of the plan. For example:

Who owns the property (an individual, family, corporation, etc.) and for how long?

How big is the property and where is it located? What/who are the adjoining land uses and owners?

What is the history of the property? Many woodland owners enjoy writing this section and value having a written record of the property's history. If you are a relatively new property owner, you could ask your neighbors what they know.
