Preparing the next generation of leaders

The Leadership Development Program for Executives is for employees in the Division of University Outreach and Engagement, the Division of Extended Campus, and the College of Agricultural Sciences. Participants should have significant professional experience within their assignment and a documented record of performance that indicates potential success in an executive leadership position.

The application for the 6th LDPE cohort is now available

The deadline to submit your application for the 2019/20 cohort is September 1. The application must include a brief biography and reference letters from the following three people, which speak to your suitability and interest in this program:

1) Immediate Supervisor
2) Program Leader or Unit Director
3) A Peer
Note: If your immediate supervisor is also your unit director, only two letters are required.

  • January - September: Cohort 5 Intermittent leadership activities, including: coaching, readings, virtual classes, and discussions

  • February - August: Cohort 5 "Leadership fellow” experience under supervision of assigned mentor, not to exceed three months

  • March 20: Cohort 5 Spring Retreat 

  • July: Cohort 6 Applications available

  • September 1: Cohort 6 Applications due

  • September 16-18: Cohort 5 Summer Capstone, Black Butte Ranch

  • September 15: Cohort 6 participants announced

  • October: Cohort 5 evaluations

  • Mid-October: Cohort 6 Orientation Webinar, Ballard 104 or Zoom

  • December 9-11: Cohort 6 on-campus workshop series, led by the Ohio State University Center for Leadership, CH2M Hill Alumni Center

2020
